EGG-cellent Nutrition From 6 Months!

One of the most common questions that we get asked by parents who are weaning their babies is ‘can I give my baby eggs?’…

……You’ll be delighted to know that the answer is YES!! From 6 months onwards it is ok to give your baby eggs. Actually it’s more than ok, it’s great! Eggs are so nutritious and are really handy and versatile too. Just make sure they are well cooked – so hard boiled eggs, well-cooked scrambled eggs and omelettes are all perfect.

Eggs provide your baby with protein for growth, iron for their brain development and did you know that they are one of the very few dietary sources of vitamin D? Good news for your baby’s healthy bones and teeth!

Have you watched Neven’s video of his scrambled egg recipe?

I have a particular interest in the importance of good nutrition during the very early stages of life as it lays a solid foundation for good health across a life time. I think it is extremely important that this message is communicated to pregnant woman and the parents of babies and toddlers so they can ensure that their family achieves optimal nutrition for a healthy life.
