Remember in the First 1000 days, it’s important to introduce a variety of healthy foods to your baby’s weaning diet as this will improve their eating habits later in life.
At this stage your toddler should be having 3 meals and 2-3 healthy snacks per day. Healthy snacks are an important part of your toddler’s diet and can build on their nutrient intake for the day. Improving eating habits now will improve their habits as children and adults. Make sure to have a supply of healthy, low sugar and low salt snacks around the house so as not to resort to processed convenience snacks.
In the First 1000 Days, reducing your toddler’s salt intake will benefit their blood pressure in adulthood.
