Simple Swaps for Breastfeeding

Try these simple food swaps when breastfeeding:

  1. Limit caffeinated drinks – Caffeine free herbal teas may be a suitable alternative.
  2. Drink plenty of fluids, choose water where possible.
  3. Consume at least 3 portions of dairy every day; choose low fat options as often as possible.
  4. Choose lean meat and chicken more often and eat 1-2 portions of oily fish in your weekly diet. These are important for brain and eye development in the new-born.
